A fanfare from Nettetal, Germany: TerraTec Electronic, an nVidia partner on the computer graphics market, has now successfully concluded negotiations with the Canadian graphics board manufacturer ATI. As of January, TerraTec will also be marketing ATI products. Like the nVidia-based boards, they will be appearing under TerraTec's "Mystify" gaming brand.
Dirk Schunk, the head of the project management team, sees significant potential for TerraTec in this move: "With our Mystify brand, we aim to provide TerraTec products that cover the complete requirements of the gaming community. As Radeon has established itself on the gaming scene with high-performance boards, it wasn't a difficult decision for us. Starting in January 2004, we will be featuring both nVidia and Radeon boards in our product range. We will also remain highly aggressive in our time to market.
An important point for retailers: We will also be marketing the ATI boards under the "Mystify" name. It remains TerraTec's goal to maintain its house brand strategy on the market for graphics boards," Schunk emphasized.
"We are looking forward to working with TerraTec, one of the leading German based retail supplier of multimedia products " , said Peter Edinger, Vice President, ATI Technologies Europe.
