Ja, het is ook onze frustratie. 1366x768 pixels is de standaardresolutie voor laptops. Al jaren. En we zijn niet de enige, zo blijkt uit de reacties bij de reviews van veel laptops. Eigenlijk is het vreemd dat het wel kan voor tablets. Want waar een kijkhoek bij de meeste – zelfs de dure – laptops optioneel lijkt, is IPS de standaard voor tablets. Ook het aantal pixels voor luxe tablets is veel hoger dan de gemiddelde laptop. De iPad 3 en 4 hebben 2048x1536 pixels en de nieuwe Nexus 10 heeft er maar liefst 2560x1600. We zijn niet de enige die dat niet begrijpen. Linus Torvalds, beschrijft het op deze manier op zijn Google+ pagina:
"So with even a $399 tablet doing 2560x1600 pixel displays, can we please just make that the new standard laptop resolution? Even at 11"? Please. Stop with the "retina" crap, just call it "reasonable resolution". The fact that laptops stagnated ten years ago (and even regressed, in many cases) at around half that in both directions is just sad."
Hier hebben we niets aan toe te voegen.
De Nexus 10 heeft 2560x1600 pixels.
