Sony introduceert RX100 III met uitschuifbare OLED EVF

Sony heeft officieel de Cyber-shot RX100 III compactcamera geïntroduceerd, die vergeleken met zijn voorganger een bredere en lichtgevoeligere lens heeft. Bovendien is er nu ook een uitschuifbare EVF (Electronic ViewFinder) ingebouwd gebaseerd op een oled-scherm. Het geheel weegt ongeveer 290 gram inclusief accu en geheugenstick, en meet ongeveer 101,6 x 58,1 x 41,0 millimeter.

Aan de aluminium behuizing zit een 24-70mm f1.8-2.8 Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T-lens vast, die licht op de 1-inch Exmor R CMOS-sensor laat schijnen. De effectieve resolutie bedraagt volgens Sony overigens 20,1 megapixel en er kan tot 2,9x optisch gezoomd worden. Beelden worden direct weergegeven op een Xtra Fine TFT LCD-scherm met een diagonaal van 3 inch en een resolutie van 1280x960 pixels. De viewfinder kan uit de behuizing geschoven worden en is gebaseerd op een 0,39-inch oled-scherm met 1600x900 pixels. Video's kunnen in Full HD resolutie opgenomen worden met tot 50 beelden per seconde en een bitrate van 50 Mbit/s, terwijl foto's in de volledige 20 megapixel (5472 x 3648) opgeslagen kunnen worden.

Wanneer de Sony Cyber-shot RX100 III (DSC-RX100M3) op de markt komt en voor welke prijs, heeft de fabrikant nog niet laten weten.
