Review: iPhone 15 Pro en Pro Max. Dit zijn de toptelefoons van Apple.

A17 Pro

De ster van de show is de nieuwe A17 Pro-processor. Dit is een chip die afkomstig is van het gloednieuwe 3nm-fabricageproces van TSMC. Het is een smartphone-soc die zeer goede prestaties levert. Hij is voorzien van een cpu met twee performance- en vier efficiënte cores. Daarnaast is er een gpu met zes cores en kan iOS de verwerking van AI-taken overlaten aan de neural engine met zestien cores.

De telefoons hebben allebei een accu met een relatief kleine capaciteit. Die van de 15 Pro heeft een capaciteit van iets meer dan 3200 mAh, de Max-accu heeft zo'n 1200 mAh meer. Veel Android-telefoons hebben een accu met zo'n 5000 mAh.
Het testen van deze telefoon verloopt anders dan bij Android-telefoons; zo vind je in dit artikel - uiteraard - geen prestatiemetingen met PCMark for Android. Als we de iPhone 15 Pro laten webbrowsen, houdt hij het 16 uur vol. De werktijd van de Pro Max is daarbij een uurtje langer.
