Specificaties
Op bovenstaande foto kunnen we meteen de belangrijke zaken zien: het bord heeft 5 PCI-sloten, 2 ISA-sloten en 4 DIMM banken. Een mooie combinatie dus. Verder heeft dit bord een perfecte URM (Universal Retention Mechanism), waardoor zowel Pentium II's, Pentium III's als Celerons vast in de slot connector kunnen worden geprikt. Door de handige lock en unlock functie is het bij deze moederborden gelukkig ook weer makkelijk om de processor eruit te halen. De opbouw van het moederbord is zeer goed: alleen de plaatsing van de Wake-On-LAN en SB-Link connectoren is een beetje onhandig. Ook SOYO heeft een goede heatsink op de BX-chipset geplaatst, wat ook wel noodzakelijk is bij FSB-instellingen tot aan 155 MHz. De stabilisatiecondensatoren zitten bij dit bord gelukkig niet helemaal tegen de slot-connector aan, zodat er weinig problemen zullen zijn met grote CPU-koelers. De plaatsing van de ATX power-connector, vlak achter de CPU, maakt het gebruik van de grote Whopper-coolers wel onmogelijk, wat jammer is voor een moederbord dat vooral gericht is op overklokkers. De SY-6BA+III heeft gelukkig/helaas geen hippe PC'99 kleurtjes bij de connectoren.
