Intel Skulltrail test: 8-core gaming power!

Met computers is het net als met auto's; voor de échte liefhebbers zijn ze eigenlijk nooit snel genoeg. Wie zelf in een Opel Kadett rijdt kan alleen maar dromen van een Porsche 911, maar de bezitter van diezelfde Porsche zal op zijn beurt weer kwijlend naar een Bugatti Veyron kijken. Een een luxe PC met een Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650 processor en twee GeForce 8800 Ultra kaarten op dit moment de Porsche 911 van de computerwereld, dan kijken we vandaag naar het equivalent van die Bugatti Veyron: Intel introduceert het Skulltrail platform, waarmee het mogelijk is om twee super sneller Core 2 Extreme quad-core processors op één bord onder te brengen. Een systeem met 8 cores is niet voor iedereen weggelegd, maar wel gruwelijk snel.
