Eind deze maand zou Intel de nieuwe desktopchips van de Comet Lake-generatie willen presenteren. Een enkele bron wist al specificaties te noemen, maar opnieuw zijn er slides gelekt. Deze bevestigen de eerdere informatie, waaronder een Core i9 met tien cores en tot 5,3 GHz.
De drie slides die opgedoken zijn gaan specifiek over de drie chips met ontgrendelde multiplier. Het topmodel wordt de Core i9-10900K met tien cores en hyperthreading, waarbij een enkele kern tot 5,3 GHz zou gaan met Thermal Velocity Boost. Als alle cores tegelijk op hun staart getrapt worden zou 4,9 GHz mogelijk zijn, al staat dat niet op de afbeelding vermeld.
Onder de Core i9 komt nog de Core i7-10700K met acht cores en zestien threads op maximaal 5,1 GHz bij een enkele core. Ook is er weer een ontgrendelde Core i5 van de partij en wel de 10600K. Deze krijgt zes cores en twaalf threads op maximaal 4,8 GHz. Vermoedelijk ondersteunt dit tweetal geen Thermal Velocity Boost, waardoor ze een paar honderd megahertz lager geklokt zijn.
Buiten dit drietal komen er natuurlijk meer modellen beschikbaar. In onderstaande tabel staat alle bekende informatie.
